Rachel Landers

Professor Rachel Landers is a multi award winning author, filmmaker, and academic with a PhD in history. In 2018 she was appointed head of Media Arts and Production at UTS. In 2023 she was elected a CAPA Regional Council member and awarded the Powerhouse Museum Research Fellowship. She published the monograph Hybrid Documentary and Beyond for Routledge in 2024. The same year she won UTS, X faculty research grant investigating animated hybrid science documentaries which was launched at VIVID 2024 and is now a major Australian Research Council Discovery Project 2025-27.
